ITINERARY
Point 1
Pick up of guest at Tamale Airport or any other location within Tamale and drives northeast to to the Paga Crocodile Pond where our guest enjoy memorable experience from posing with these agile reptiles to even riding on their backs whiles taking photographs with crocodiles in their natural habitat. These crocodiles are believed to be housing the souls of the community folks in Paga. Hence, they are revered as sacred and so no one harms them.
Point 2
On our way back from Paga, we make a stop at Sirigu, a local community near Bolgatanga to see pottery art works resulting from relentless pursuit of a retired teacher, Mama Melanie. Her efforts together with those of other 54 women has led to the revival of this local industry and helping to curb exodus of women into the cities of Ghana in pursuit of greener pastures. You will be thrilled to seeing locally made ceramic pots and vases with patterns scored on them using pebbles. You will also find beautiful paintings on mud houses as well as on canvas. Not only does this wonderful work of art promote their culture, it also boosts their family income streams particularly for women, thereby, empowering women to be independent.
Point 3
We now head back to the Bolgatanga Township and into the daily market where our guest can have a feel of the hustle and bustle of the market women warmly welcoming customers to their sheds. Here our guest can also try their bargaining skills with these market women in an attempt to get locally made goods like the famous Bolga straw hats, baskets and weaved artifacts at the lowest prices possible.
Point 4
From Bolgatanga, we now head back to the Tamale Airport or any chosen location by our guest within Tamale for the drop off.
