Mole National Park is the largest park in West Africa and located within the Savannah Region of Ghana. It is home to lots of plant and animal species as a result one of the most sought after destinations in Africa and beyond. Notably among the varied species are the Monkeys, Baboons, different kinds of antelopes ranging from the roan as the biggest to the Red Flanked Duiker. And of course, the African Savannah Elephant which is the biggest of all living global elephant species and second biggest land mammal are found and viewed at from very close range in this park. As a significant attraction to bird watchers, the park is endowed with over 300 resident and migratory bird species. Located within African Tropical Woodland Savannah, over 700 species of plants can be found in the park with several economic and medicinal uses. ITINERARY:

Day 1

Pick up of guest from Tamale Airport and drive through a joyous 2 and a half hour journey into Mole National Park. Before entering the park, we make our first stop at Larabanga to see the beautiful ancient Mosque which is the oldest in the country and among the oldest in West Africa. We then continue the remainder 6 kilometers of our journey to Mole National Park from Larabanga. Guests are checked into the beautiful and serene mole hotel with swimming pool overlooking watering holes where most of the animals come to drink water and have their bath. After lunch is served, our guests are taken out for a 2 hours drive safari to see the various animals in the park. When we return from safari, guests take a rest after a day of fun and sightseeing at poolside and enjoy the beautiful sunset.


Day 2

This is a fully packed fan activities day. The day begins with a 2 hour morning drive safari. Breakfast is served after the morning drive and guest prepares for another exciting trip to Mognori. At Mognori, the activities start with a canoe safari on the Mole River and a walk in the community to learn about the culture of the people. Still at Mognori, our guests are treated to a cultural dance from the community folks before heading back to the park to rest and enjoy the beautiful sunset at the hotel.


Day 3

The day begins with a morning walk safari for our guest to have intimate time with nature and wildlife at its best. As usual, breakfast will be taken after the morning’s safari. Our guest now prepares and set off for the return trip to Tamale.  A brief stop is made at the Tamale Cultural Arts and Crafts Center for our guest to shop for locally carved artifacts before heading to the Airport.
