ITINERARY


Day 1

Guest after undergoing immigration checks at the Kotoka International Airport are greeted to a warm welcome by our guide at the airport. Our guests are now taken to a comfortable hotel within Accra to relax after several hours of flight. At the hotel, guests are given orientation about the tour schedule and brief about life in Ghana. If there's time depending on when guest arrive in Ghana, you can be taken out to familiarise with life in the capital and enjoy your first Ghanaian meal before retreating to your hotel.


Day 2

Start your day with a visit to Jamestown lighthouse fishing village, whiles here you will enjoy close up look at this hardworking fishermen. Watch these fishermen sing enchanting songs of the sea as they work from small wooden boats. Learn firsthand skills on how they cast their nets and reel in their catch.

From Jamestown we will visit Makola market where you get to showcase your bargaining skills like a pro. Visit the Arts center and watch the production of weaving baskets as well as other artifacts.

Later in the day, we will visit and learn about the history of Gold Coast and Trans-Atlantic Slave Trade at the Kwame Nkrumah Mausoleum, Independence Square as well as Pan African culture at the W.E.B. DuBois Centre. In the evening, our guest will get introduced to local Ghanaian music and drumming.


Day 3

Your guide after breakfast will take you on a joyful drive to Ghana's former capital town, Cape coast. Upon arriving in Cape Coast, you will visit the Cape Coast castle where resident guides will take you through heart touching tour of this historical 16th century building established by the Portuguese as a trading post and later housed slaves awaiting to be shipped to the Americas. Later in the day, your guide will drive you to Kakum National Park where you will go through the 350 metre long and 30 metres high canopy walkway which provides treetop views of vast rainforest within this area. You also enjoy the sight of birds and beautiful butterflies whiles in the park. Our guests are taken to their hotel in Cape Coast after the day's trip.


Day 4

Start your day with a visit to Elmina fishing community to watch fishermen load their boats as well as engage in photo shoots with these fisher folks. Later we will visit the Elmina castle and learn about the history of this Trans-Atlantic slave hub. Afterwards we climax the day with a visit to Fort St. Jago where we will climb the stairs and enjoy the view over Elmina castle and township.


Day 5

We will arrive at scenic beach community at Busua. Here our guest will enjoy a day staying on calm sandy beach along the coastline of Gulf of Guinea. Whiles in Busua, we shall visit the fishing village of Dixcove and Fort Metal Cross which was the original stronghold of the British.


Day 6

Enjoy canoe ride through lush wetlands to reach the village of Nzulezu, a community built on stilts on a lagoon. Whiles here, we will visit the chief compound and make a tour on this 'floating' community.


Day 7

After several days of traveling and sightseeing, our guests will take this whole day to themselves relaxing on the sandy beaches of Busua watching the welling and swelling of the ocean.


Day 8

Leave Busua to Accra. When we arrive in Accra our guest can make last minute shopping whiles preparing for departure. Our guide and guest say final goodbyes at the Kotoka International Airport to climax this wonderful and unforgettable experience.
